Praise Gathering has its origins in a choir which came together in 1985 to sing the 'Psalms Alive' songs, inviting singers - skilled and unskilled, but with a heart for God - to come and take part in this corporate act of Praise.

The history of Praise Gathering is therefore really a history of God at work in the lives of ordinary people who have experienced His love and forgiveness in their own lives, and for whom praising and worshipping with their voices is an expression of gratitude which can facilitate the joy of His presence.

Over the years, many people have responded to that invitation and last year there were c400 singers drawn from over 150 Scottish churches.
